Alec Morrison is a psychologist turned designer currently learning the ways and whys of new media design and web development at BCIT. The expectation is to graduate in October and use that to move back into the real world to do web design and development, social media, information architecture or graphic design. Alternatively, rather than a single focus, a healthy combination of skills where the result is transferring imagination and vision to reality!
Born and currently living in Vancouver, Canada, Alec grew up in Great Britain and holds dual citizenship. Educated in Chester, England, he holds a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Psychology, with a particular interest and focus in Internet psychology. Following a short stint of travelling, Alec immigrated back to his country of birth in early 2010 looking for new experiences and to further his proficiency in all things design and web.
When not attending class or keeping on top of the massing piles of homework, Alec finds escape in several different avenues. The sports path leads him to play badminton or takes him to the mountain to ski, though neither happens often enough for his liking. The road of photography often doesn’t have a set direction, though that isn’t an issue as Alec has a passion for taking panoramic photos, be it cityscape or landscape. And should you find him at home rather than out, Alec is most likely to be reading, playing his brighter-than-should-be-possible orange Fender Cyclone, or surfing the web.
